LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

DOES ANYONE KNOW...

...how much sleep 11 week old Westie puppies need?
I'm asking because Lily and Rose seem to have been asleep for hours today and, at 7.45 they put themselves to bed. I've tried to clatter around in an attempt to wake them, but they're not having any of it. They've got up and had a drink and then gone straight back to sleep.
During the day they must have had at least six hours sleep, which means they've only been awake for about seven. I tried everything I could think of to keep them awake this evening, but they were nearly out on their feet. IS THIS NORMAL? SHOULD I BE WORRIED?
Of course it could just be that the excited anticipation about the party, coupled with the disappointment of it being cancelled, has just proved too much and they've gone to bed in a sulk!

  1. I think its normal. Fully grown Westies need about 13 hours per day...which is great! They really are low maintenance breed (except your two obviously - I think the Westie rule book is being rewritten as you type.
