It's amazing what a difference a bit of sunshine makes to the puppies!
They are loving being outside today and manage to find the sunniest spots to play in, or just to laze around on.
They've just woken up after a very long morning sleep. They've had a light lunch (!) and are letting it settle with a bit of gentle and quite restrained play.
They just make me smile whenever I look at them - well apart from when they're covered in poop!
While they've been asleep I've been doing the Tesco order online. It'll be much easier to have the shopping delivered this week while Charles is away. The only problem with it is that I am sometimes a bit careless when it comes to quantities, especially with fruit and veg. There was an occasion last year - in fact it may well have been the 'Big Christmas Shop' - when I wanted a bag of brussels sprouts and ended up with ONE SOLITARY SPROUT because I thought I was ordering a bag of sprouts, but had in fact ordered the LOOSE sprouts and hadn't checked the weight. Why would the Tesco person doing the order put ONE SPROUT in anyway. Nobody would ever want ONE SPROUT! (Unless they didn't like sprouts very much.) That sprout looked very sad all alone in it's plastic bag!!

Great story.......how much did one sprout cost? Perhaps it was more than their job was worth to argue with a customer's order as the customer is always right. Reminds me of something the NAHT said to me recently "Sense is anything but common"
ReplyDeleteVery true!
ReplyDeleteCan't remember exact cost of one sprout, but DO remember hiding the error (and the sprout) from Charles and then claiming I'd forgotten to order any sprouts at all and I needed him to go and get some!
