BY MY SON!
Apparently I make it sound on my blog as if I am badly done to! According to James I make out that I miss out on stuff (like the footie tonight) but it is always my decision not to go! And also, he thinks I didn't read Dannymatts comment about which car I should get, properly!
Right - where do I start with this one?
Firstly - It's MY blog! If I want people to think I'm being a martyr - I WILL!
Secondly - I KNOW I could have gone to the match tonight - but I was thinking of you and your dad - AND THE PUPS. If it wasn't for the puppies I would have been going myself AND YOU WOULDN'T - but I thought it was the easiest solution all round.
Thirdly - Considering the only excitement I will get this evening (despite being blonde) is the arrival of your laundry bag - I would be careful what you say, if I was you!
Fourthly - Okay, Dannymatt DID suggest an Audi, but he also reckoned I need a BMW, hence my comment - so I DID read his comment, I just chose to ignore the Audi bit cos I thought he was just being silly!!
So JIM - DON'T HAVE A GO AT YOUR MUM IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!
And anyway:
I AM going to the game on Saturday with you and have NO INTENTION of missing it, OR the pre-match meal at the Spice Cube, OR the chance to do a bit of shopping while we're in town!
I AM NOT going to be a martyr on Saturday - YOUR DAD IS!!

Sue, you do know don't you that the saddest sight known to mankind is a middle aged person desparately clinging on to their long passed youth by driving one of those "chickmobiles" like the MX5. Nothing says "I'm getting old" like a person/s in a 2 seater hard top or cabriolet. One has to wait until one IS ACTUALLY old before investing in such a set of wheels. Because then its cool see? Now I know that compromise satisfies no-one and so I'm loathed to suggest either a VW beetle or (heaven forbid) a Mini Clubman? Of course BMWs do not have to be sensible, check out the M3 for goodness' sake. However the best, most reliable, almost the best of some worlds compromise might just be that old yet stylish Black VW Golf GTi. Enough room for 2 fully grown Westies, enough poke for your own good and yet still stylish enough to not look out of place at the races. Low profile 3 spoke alloys (without the marque on the rear for extra funk) - and a golf ball gear knob! Remember, like clothes - "STYLE NEVER GOES OUT OF FASHION"
ReplyDeleteOkay! OKAY!!
ReplyDeleteI get the message!
Maybe I AM trying a bit too hard.
Coincidentally I was just having a look at beetles and yes, the golf might not be a bad idea either!!
I'll go and look again!!
Cheers!!
