LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

LET'S DIG!!

Well, it MAY be Sunday, but there's no rest for the wicked, as they say. Charles and I were up well before 7.00 trying to keep the puppies as quiet as possible in order to give our guests a chance to sleep a little bit longer.
Lily and Rose have discovered that DIGGING IS A GOOD THING! We don't agree, however, and have moved all the plants out of the puppy play area so that they are now safely out of reach. They've been in the roses, the bamboo and the rather exotic red and yellow plant the name of which escapes me just now (possibly abutilon?) Anyway, they won't get another chance for a while because their playground is now a plant free zone!
Both girls are BLACK!! Their little faces are streaked with soil and gunge and they are both in line for a bath later today!
All the humans have breakfasted leisurely this morning. However, the puppies haven't yet learned such restraint and attacked their breakfast bowls with great gusto, although, having said that, Uncle Richard demolished three sausage and bacon butties - so HE hasn't learned much restraint yet either!!
James has gone off to play football. He is rejoining the Longfram side and this will be his first game for a while, so he expects to be warming the bench today.
As for the pups. They have just had their morning training session. It is so much easier when Charles is here and we can have a puppy each. Both of them are making god progress, though Rose just has the edge as Lily tends to forget what the commands mean in her excitement to get her reward!!
We may be going to the Anglers Arms for lunch today. At least that was the plan, but now Uncle Richard says he would just be happy with a bit of cake. Yes, I bet you would. That's what happens when you stuff yourself with sausage and bacon sarnies. However, the rest of us are really looking forward to Sunday lunch, and I for one can't wait to get out of the house!!!
