Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

LIVING IN A WAR ZONE!

That's not a reflection on the puppies, although it does feel like it in an evening sometimes when they are having their mad time.
No. I've just been outside and can clearly hear the heavy thuds of the big guns up at Otterburn.
Closer to home, judging by the loud cracks there is obviously someone in the fields nearby shooting rabbits. (Poor little things!)
A few months ago we had a little visiting rabbit. it was only young, so I don't know where it's mother was, but it would sit on our back lawn for hours - just munching away. I thought it was dead cute, until Charles reminded me that it would eat all our plants! Anyway, one day it just didn't come back.
Sad really.
The puppies are asleep again, having just had a crazy time with Christina. We were sitting on the step outside and all of us were feeling a bit drowsy. Lily had done her usual trick of forcing herself onto my knee and spreading out, and Rose was snuggled up next to me, when suddenly their ears pricked up and Christina's car pulled onto the drive.
They were up and at the gate in a flash and could hardly contain their excitement!
So that was the end of drowsiness for a while 'cos they had to have a good chew of her shoes, (not a good idea to wear bright red satin stilettos round here Christina) toes, fingers and ears (mind her face, she's sore!) Then they had to play a game of hide and seek, although they're not good at this because they keep forgetting what they're supposed to be seeking! And eventually, with Christina and I sitting on the kitchen floor cuddling a puppy each, we got them calmed down and ready for the afternoon nap.
