That's ME!
Although the girls have probably been no harder work than usual, I have found it quite difficult managing them both this evening without Charles.
James came up and helped out, but he didn't stay very long and I can feel my temper fraying a bit with the pups.
I've noticed that the puppies tend to be at their most boisterous just as my energy levels are dropping. Of course they have slept for over two hours this afternoon, so they are raring to go. Perhaps I should try to have a bit of down-time when they sleep, to help me get through the early evening riot.
I've lost count of the number of times I've mopped up today. We've had one or two wees in the breakfast room, but mostly it has been upturned water bowls during their chasing sessions. I try to mop the floor basically so that no one slips, but the puppies think the mop is a ride on toy, so I pop them in their crate where they spill the water by rolling into it and I try to clean it up with kitchen roll which they think is a chewing game. I change out of my boots into a pair of sandals and they decide to eat them AND my toes. Normally I just deal with all of this, but this evening I do feel as though I'd like a little bit of peace and quiet!
