But it actually makes very little difference to me apart from the fact that Newcastle are playing Plymouth tomorrow AND MUST WIN!
Also, of course, we are having Charles's Mum and brother to stay. They're not coming until tomorrow afternoon and will probably go home after lunch on Sunday, but it will be nice to see them, especially as it's my Mother-in-Law's birthday this weekend.
Charles has been home - and gone again. He's at a birthday party for a member of his staff. I just hope he doesn't wake the puppies when he comes in!
As for me - well, I've finished in the kitchen for tonight, thank goodness. Lily and Rose have been in bed for a while. They suddenly went really tired at about 8.45 and couldn't wait to get to sleep. Occasionally they stir and have a little drink but they're hardly awake when they're doing this, and then they flop down again, back in the Land of Nod.
By 9am tomorrow we will have had the pups for two whole weeks. In some ways it seems much longer than that, probably because they need so much care and non-stop attention. It really is all consuming, but I wouldn't swap it for the world! I know I keep saying it, but they really are growing incredibly fast. They eat well, sleep a lot and have loads of energy, so I think we have ourselves two strong, and healthy puppies. (Lily is sleeping on the cool part of the crate with her head right next to the water bowl. To have a drink all she needs to do is to lift her little head up - she's too tired to even stand up right now!!)
I can't tell you how incredibly cute they look, especially when they're asleep - what a shame they have to grow up! (Although when they do grow up I certainly hope the poop situation becomes less of an issue. I haven't really mentioned poop this week because the pups seem to be getting quite regular in their habits and it would just get boring if I reported every time they'd been. Thankfully, there have been no poop related incidents in the house. A few wees but nothing more than that. It's just that I do seem to spend a lot of time scooping poop and looking out for poop and even, like I did a little while ago ago, stepping in poop because we'd had synchronised pooping and I was trying to avoid standing on Rose who was chasing my feet and missed my footing. Yuk!)
Well' I've actually had time to do my nails this evening - I know how to spoil myself!
Tomorrow we should be able to get some more photos and video clips up on the blog, so keep checking in.
Uh Oh! having said that both pups were fast asleep, Rose has stirred herself a bit and is rolling around looking decidedly mischievous! Excuse me!!
