WOULDN'T YOU KNOW IT!

I've just spent the afternoon giving the puppies a quick wash and brush up and finally restoring Lily to her usual little white self and then they went outside where Lily had a poop and Rose stuck her face straight in it! Great Rose! It took me ages to get the dried poop off her ears from earlier in the day and now I've had to clean her up all over again! Cotton wool pads, soaked in warm water seem to do the trick, but the secret is certainly to catch it BEFORE it gets dried on!!
They are now at either end of the lace from Charles's slippers. (Yes he does wear lace up slippers!!) playing tug of war! Oh no I tell a lie, Rose has abandoned the game and is now investigating the wine bottles in the wine rack! Oh, another change - within seconds they have both gone from masses of activity to a little doze in their beds. I wish I could go to sleep as easily as that!
Have just had another phonecall from Keith the builder, who says that providing the weather holds and the van doesn't breakdown like it did last week, they will be coming to seal the drive tomorrow. I have told Keith that the puppies use this very area for weeing etc and he has asked me not to hose it down tonight. Little does he know that I've already done it!!
