I'm not sure about the actual programme - some of the dishes seem a bit contrived to me. But it got me thinking, what would anyone choose for a starter, main course and dessert for a meal that is typically British? I'm going to have a good think about this!!
Mind you, James paid the ultimate compliment of judging one of yesterday's desserts as 'heaven on a plate'!!! ('It was just something I threw together', she said casually!) All it was was three puff pastry circles, sandwiched together with layers of white chocolate, whipped cream, raspberry jam and fresh raspberries. The top was finished with glace icing and a drizzle of melted white chocolate. Hannah also asked that these are put on the menu whenever she comes to see us, so they must have hit the spot. Unfortunately I can't vouch for them myself, because James disappeared with the last three: one for Kate, one for his flatmate and another one for HIM!!
LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
