Well, now I've got one, what am I going to do with it?
You will recall that Charles opted out of the very difficult process of choosing a grill ON HIS OWN and that he insisted that I go and do the choosing.
So, as he had to go and tax his car, we all set off for the Post Office in Morpeth (actually the Post Office is still in Allens because the area where the PO used to be has been demolished to make way for a brand spanking new shopping mall. It's going to be really up-market when it's finished - supposedly by the middle of November. Then I presume the PO will be relocated within this new development.) Anyway, when he got to the Post Office in Allans he was told they couldn't help him because he hadn't got his registration document which is still with the DVLA from when we had our new registrations. and he would have to go to the DVLA office at Gosforth. So off we went and Charles got sorted out, then we called in at Tescos, where I bought my new grill along with a few other bits and pieces. Charles didn't come to look at the grills. he stayed in the car with the puppies who had slept all the time we'd been galivanting around trying to tax his car. And guess what? It's the same model as the one he saw in the first place at Sainsbury's! Trust your judgement next time Charles!
After that we called in at Heighley Gate because we wanted to get two extendible leads for the next time we take the girls off the beaten track. Gosh, how expensive are THEY? They might have a very nice cushioned grip, but £24 for two leads seems a bit steep to me.
The pups are having a bit of a mad time now. Hardly surprising as they've had a very sleepy afternoon. And they don't know it yet they're going for a bath IN THE BIG BATH in a minute.
