LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

HEIGHLEY GATE

I popped out for a little trip to Heighley Gate - ON MY OWN - this morning! (When I first typed that sentence I actually wrote 'pooped out' - clearly all the poop related incidents I reported in the early days with the pups have trained my brain to type in that particular combination of letters. I'm sure you've noticed that 'poop' has hardly been mentioned recently. That's because there's nothing out of the ordinary to report and we've become extremely blase about it - how do you put that accent over the 'e'?) So, I went to Heighley Gate because they've got a good pet section there and I wanted to get some treats for the pups. I resisted the temptation to buy more toys - they've got QUITE enough to be going on with. Actually I DID come home with a new toy - a very sturdy cardboard carton - that Lily already loves and Rose is starting to love! Somehow Lily manages to get on top of it and enjoys her superior position to taunt her sister.
Rose doesn't like change, although she will adapt in her own time. A little while ago, she was going berserk outside. When I went to see what all the fuss was about I noticed a flyer from some window company had been folded up and wedged between the gate posts. Rose DID NOT like that bit of paper, it had obviously upset her sense of order and once it was removed she quickly settled down again. (Actually, Rose is beginning to sound a little bit like ME!!!)
(I only mean in terms of liking order. Obviously I don't go round barking frantically when things aren't as I expect them to be. I might whinge and nag a bit, but that's different!)
