LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

MISERABLE MORNING!

It's grey, drizzly and damp - not a good morning.
However, it won't matter too much when I'm shopping, although it would be nice if it was a bit drier when we go to the match. I've got my scarf, gloves, cap and Newcastle top all ready!! If we don't win this match I predict lots of bad tempers and anti-Ashley chanting.
Anyway, kick-off's not till 3.00, so we should get a fair bit of shopping time in before that.
James and Kate will be coming soon and I've warned the puppies they need to be good for them. Actually, I've just had a conversation with a delivery man (He was bringing a new battery for Charles's drill, because when he put it on charge the other day, he forgot that it only had to be on for one hour and left it overnight, by which time it had gone off the scale and imploded!) about the puppies who were playing outside when he turned up. He made a real fuss of them and then proceeded to give me some helpful hints and tips. It would appear that he's something of an 'expert' on dog training and behaviour and he had Lily doing as she was told just by telling her, 'enough' and pointing at her and using a very stern voice. He DID recommend using a water pistol to stop them doing something we don't want them to do, but I'm not sure about that - the house would be rather wet if we used THAT technique! Apparently frozen bones are good for soothing their gums and for bringing out their baby teeth - I didn't know this. He also said that when they look as if they're yawning, but make a little  mewling noise, it isn't actually a yawn, but a protest!! Lily does that all the time, but usually when she's woken up. Maybe she's just saying that she doesn't want to be awake!
So, I had quite a conversation with this man and couldn't help wondering how long it takes him to do all his delivering if he takes half an hour at every house - or maybe he only stops for a chat at dog owners houses.
