Wow! That's been a busy, but very enjoyable, day!
Lily and Rose coped really well with all their visitors, although they still get very excited when different people are in the house. They DO jump up and nibble any available extremities, but just through sheer exuberance, not with the intention of hurting. We ARE going to train them NOT to do this and, as this may well be a slow process, probably the sooner we start the better.
Anyway, no one seemed to mind their enthusiasm today, and the pups have had loads of attention. The only part of the day that worried me a little was when we all went out to lunch, and left the puppies watching us go through the window. (No we didn't GO OUT through the window! The pups were looking out of the window as we left. Just needed to make that clear.)
I DID worry A LITTLE BIT about how they would cope with our absence, but when we got back they were absolutely fine - nothing had been chewed, eaten or in any way damaged, there was no mess and the puppies themselves were still in one piece. (Well technically two, of course!)
Apart from lunch we haven't really DONE anything apart from sit around chatting and watching the Grand Prix. Well done Jenson Button - even though he didn't win today's race apparently he is the World Champion. Now - I am the first to admit that I know next to nothing about motor racing BUT I do think that the person who failed to fill that poor guys car up with fuel when he had purposely called in for a fill up, causing him to subsequently RUN OUT OF PETROL IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RACE, needs sacking! How in God's name did they forget to put the fuel in? I'm gobsmacked!

Good to see the pups survived! F1:It may be that the driver wanted to take on a 'low-level' fuel intake to keep the weight of a car to a minimum - resulting in a higher power to weight ratio. In turn, this gives higher speeds, but is a risky strategy to take....as you can run out of fuel. But when the stakes are high, sometimes they are worth a punt that can pay off. There are so many sensors on the car, I'd find it hard to believe that the blame lies with the fuel man, so don't be too harsh Sue - he may have only be doing his job and if he did make a mistake, well, we all make them from time to time. Be happy :-)
