How can a puppy be afraid of a cardboard box? It's just a small box that I thought would make a brilliant toy. Lily loves it and has chewed it, scratched it, dragged it around and knocked it over, but ROSE HATES IT! She doesn't trust it one bit and has circled it, barking like crazy, refusing to go anywhere near it and climbing up onto my knee for protection from the imagined evils hidden within the box!
This is SO typical of the puppies personalities. Lily confronts anything head on, while Rose hangs back and takes her time before tentatively exploring - when she's good and ready.
The pups are having their second sleep of the morning now- obviously, each in their own way, exhausted by the cardboard box.

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
