Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

TECHNICALLY...

and they ...I THINK we had a lie in today!
We got up at about 6.30, which, by my reckoning was really 7.30, so we had an extra hour's sleep! YEAH!!!
The puppies are just going through the process of settling themselves for their morning sleep; their play has become quieter and more individual and has become 'lying down' play as opposed to the rushing around type.
I'm not sure what is happening today and await a call from James to let me know if he and I are going into town. If not, I'm going down to Morpeth, calling in at Heighley Gate on the way home.
While I've been typing, Lily and Rose have got themselves squashed into the little bed by the window and are gently jostling for position, with Lily almost certainly getting herself into the prime position for comfortable sleep. She stretches herself out, lying on her back and makes herself as big as she possibly can, with the result that Rose ends up with just her bottom in the bed and her head hanging over the edge. Nice one Lily!!
I had a lovely time with the pups last night. They were obviously tired after their day with James and Kate, but very calm and gentle. They were both even more snugly than usual, so we had lots of big cuddles before they settled down for the night.
I think it did all of us good to have a little break yesterday. It helped me to realise that they CAN be left with someone else and that they will be perfectly happy. Also, we all seemed to be so pleased to see each other again after an absence of seven hours that it was almost worth doing it just for that!!
Okay, they've moved from the little bed into the crate. Both have had a quick drink of water and they are cuddled up together ready for sleep again. It's amazing to think that, when we brought them home seven weeks ago, they could both fit into one of the little beds easily with lots of room to spare. Now it's just about the right size for ONE puppy!
