Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

TODAY'S POOP REPORT

Things started out very well this morning with perfectly formed poop from both puppies at 6.30. Since then we have had a yukky poop from one pup, although I had turned my back for a moment and was unable to identify the culprit.
Clogging up medicine has been given, using a highly skilled pincer movement combined with puppy treats. Looking at the composition of that gunk, I'm surprised they can pass anything at all, but maybe it takes a while to take effect. I did wonder if giving them this AND the worming treatment at the same time, might be a bit counter-productive, but I'm no expert on veterinary matters so will just follow the advice we were given on Tuesday.
The puppies have had a short lead lesson this morning, using their new training harnesses. These are not choke collars, but a comfy harness that fits round the neck and the front legs making it easier to keep the pups tangle free. They weren't too sure at first, but soon got used to having the harness on and managed to walk with a fairly loose lead most of the time.
These harnesses can only be used for short periods to avoid soreness, so they have gone away for now and their usual collars are back on.
Lily and Rose are having their first morning sleep and all is peaceful for the time being.
(Out of the corner of my eye, I can see our neighbour (the one I wrote about yesterday) ON OUR DRIVE. I think she's trying to retrieve her own dog, Edward VI, who has suddenly developed quite a fascination with our house. (Or is it my girls? THEY'RE TOO YOUNG AND NOT INTERESTED EDDIE, SO ****** OFF!) Anyway, I'm not letting her see that I've noticed her, because I really don't want HER poop report this morning!)
Sorry Mrs H, but we've got enough poop problems of our own!

  1. You could of course bring the Covent Garden experience oop north and combine it with pushing against an imaginary wind and confronting a pretend wall in a Bowiesque / Marcel Marceau manner and set up as street theatre in Morpeth market square
