Well we've just been out for our second walk and the puppies managed to get round the block - with a fair bit of cajoling. Clearly they found it exhausting because they're fast asleep now.
This time I DID remember the poop bags, although we didn't need them. Rose walked a bit better this afternoon than earlier in the day, but I suspect she will be a dawdler whereas Lily will be a puller! It's a bit of a juggling act with two pups, especially when I'm trying to get to their treats to reward good walking, but actually only one of them deserves it!
At least it was dry for our walks today. I am seriously considering getting little coats for them to wear in bad weather. Not naff 'designery-type' cats, but something really practical and warm. (If my sisters dog, Digby, can wear pyjamas, I don't see an reason why the girls can't have coats!)
Well, we're looking forward to the weekend - and the extra hour we get when the clocks go back. However, we are NOT looking forward at all to the dark afternoons and evenings.
James is coming up after work. I'll run through the instructions for tomorrow one more time, although I'm sure he will be fine. It's rump steak, chips, mediterranean veg, onion rings and optional pepper sauce tonight. Charles is on frying duty - which he does expertly - IN THE GARDEN SHED! I can't stand the smell of frying so the deep fat fryer, which is hardly ever used I have to say, is kept in the shed for those odd occasions when only chips will do. Also in the shed is a kettle and toaster, so if Charles and I have a fall out, one of us (him probably!) could live in the shed quite happily for a while!
It's quite a big shed and there would easily be room for a bed in there. perhaps we should consider converting it into a guest room, or maybe we could take a lodger in!
Just a thought!
