Everyone ate too much lunch. SOME people slept it off, others didn't. (Hint: I'LL be having an early night then!)
James has been, eaten, dozed and gone. Christina has been, didn't eat, but had a shower because hers isn't working and has gone. Charles is having a little snooze, but I'm clattering around like a mad thing now because I think there's something rather unfair about not getting up till ten o'clock and then having an afternoon sleep as well.
The puppies had a long sleep and have woken in a devilish mood. They have realised that, if they are dead quick, they can get in through the front door, which is NOT allowed, and race up and down the living room, heads down and ears back, as if they are on some sort of race track and all before we've had a chance to decide who's going to grab which puppy. It's a great game!
They're playing another version of it at the moment, but are confined to the kitchen and breakfast room. They chase each other round and round and then take a flying leap into one of their beds, pause for breath and a quick chew on - well just about anything within reach - and then they're off again for the next lap. You can get quite dizzy just watching them! Oh how I long to be able to take them out for a proper walk to use up some of their energy.
Lily has now decided she wants to play with one of the very annoying squeaky toys that they like so much and which drive any sane person bonkers. She was happily chewing away and squeaking frantically (the toy was squeaking, not Lily) when Rose decided to lie down just in front of her, leaving her tail draped over the toy. OUCH!!! Rose - watch where you're putting your tail in future! Lily - watch what you're chewing - don't make your sister squeak like that toy you've just been chewing!
