We're back at last, having driven at approximately 20 MPH all the way to Morpeth thanks to the Tractor Drivers Convention.
The puppies have had their final injections and they were absolutely brilliant. Not a whimper from either of them.
Back home I've just given them their lunch. This time I've done home cooked chicken and rice and, predictably, they've scoffed the lot. Hmmm, am I bringing up fussy eaters? Have I spoiled them? I have to point out that it was on the vets instructions that I introduced the home-cooked meals in the first place, so I blame her!
Anyway, at least I know there is no reason for them to be off their food now - they're just being picky.
I kept the pups in their crate while we were waiting for our appointment and they found this very strange and rather frustrating, because the waiting room is where we go for the puppy parties and they now associate that area with having a good runabout.
While we were sitting in the waiting room and waiting (which we did for quite a long time), I noticed a big display about WEIGHTWATCHERS FOR DOGS! Honestly, I didn't realise obesity in dogs was such an issue. There was even a space for the dieter of the week - but no name there yet, so presumably none of the dogs have taken their dieting seriously enough.
Talking of weight Lily and Rose continue to weigh EXACTLY the same - 3.05kg - which is amazing when you look at them, because Rose appears to be much bigger than her sister due to her longer coat.
They've put themselves to bed now and will probably sleep for a good while after their eventful morning.
AND WHEN THEY WAKE UP WE'RE GOING TO GET MY NEW CAR!!!
