WHAT A BUSY DAY!

Just when I was beginning to think he had forgotten, James rang to say he would go through to Newcastle with me so we could get some shopping.
It would appear, however, that the rest of the North-East population also decided to go to town today, because it took forever to find anywhere to park. However, once we DID find a space, we had a lovely time - did a bit of shopping, had lunch, did some more shopping and got hame at about 4 o'clock.
Charles had had a lovely time with the puppies, who have been fab today! I know I said I would never comment on how good they are, because I can guarantee that they will become little horrors just to prove me wrong, but it is SO lovely when they are really good, that it's a shame not to tell you. Their play has been really gentle today, without any of the usual squabbling.
While I was out, Helen rang home to say that she is coming up on Wednesday with Mum and Hannah and then she and Bill will come for the weekend. James has arranged to take a day off on Wednesday, so he can spend some time with us as well. So, we've certainly got something to look forward to this week.
