Five o'clock is the time when I'm at my lowest ebb and the puppies are MANIC. I could seriously consider giving them away right now (Only kidding, but ten minutes peace would be nice!)
Usually at this time I can look forward to Charles getting home, so that I can relinquish responsibility for the girls for a little while, but today he won't be back until after 9pm and will probably miss out on the pups completely. They'll just have to put up with ME doing their grooming tonight, although I'm nowhere near as good at it as Charles is.
They've had a go at chewing the mop and are now fighting (as in standing on their hind legs and practically strangling each other) over Stumpy the Cow ( He's called Stumpy because he hasn't got real legs just two little stumps. Which is still two stumps less than he should have, but never mind - the puppies clearly love him regardless of his disability!) It's that time of day when they cannot play with their own toys, but both have to play with the same one and don't like doing this at all.
