Honestly, you take your eyes off them for two minutes - and they've chewed their lovely little beds to shreds! Admittedly, only a small patch, but now that they've started, they will undoubtedly continue whenever they get the opportunity. As is always the case, when they're quiet and NOT asleep, they are up to no good. When I caught them in the act, they were working as a demolition unit, one attacking from INSIDE the bed and the other on the outside. Eventually of course, the two met, resulting in a bed with a gaping hole in it.
Fortunately, Charles has seen some dog beds - in a garage(!) - so he's going to pick some up on his way home this evening.
James rang last night to say that his course is going well and he'd passed his exams yesterday. He said the morning had been fine and well broken u with breaks, but the afternoon was heavy going and they had no break from 1.00 to 4.30. Why do course leaders DO that? After lunch is ALWAYS the time when you struggle to stay awake. I can remember courses I've been on, when I know for a fact, that I've had forty winks after lunch! I used to hope that I didn't start talking in my sleep, or dribbling or wake with a start so that everyone noticed!!! In fact I used to ask whoever I was sitting next to to wake me up if they noticed me nodding off!!! James admitted it was a struggle yesterday, especially as the speaker was somewhat less than inspiring.
Anyway, he and his colleague from work were going out for an Indian and hoping to find a pub that was showing the Brum/Liverpool match last night. (Shouldn't have been too hard as he was in Birmingham!)
I've asked him to come round on Friday to help us to move furniture around as we're having the fireplace and sofa delivered on Saturday. And on Sunday, James and I are going Christmas shopping at the Metro Centre! I LOVE shopping with James, he's SO patient and we always end up having something yummy to eat! So, should be a good weekend!
