LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

GOOD MORNING - NOT!

Okay, it's eight o'clock and I've already had one disaster. I was taking a vase of past their best flowers out to the compost bin and managed to catch the vase on the side of said bin, smashing it to smithereens in the process. It was a BIG vase, so there was a lot of it to break. Don't bits of glass go a long way when you break something? I was really worried that I would miss some splinters of the stuff and that the puppies will cut their paws when I take them out for a walk, so had to spend ages out their trying to be sure I'd got it all up. I wouldn't care - it was my favourite vase as well.
The puppies have been somewhat less than little angels this morning! They seem quite argumentative and squabbly with each other today, and certainly less than co-operative. I just manage to get them outside, then one runs in and while I'm getting that one out again, the other has run back inside. Great game - but I'm not in the mood yet!
Rose is being a bit weird about her treats today. (Yes, they have been little pains, but they HAVE managed to do SOME things right so HAVE earned a couple of treats each). Usually she gobbles her treat in one go faster than the speed of light, but this morning she has played around with it, popping it in her mouth, then spitting it out again, over and over until eventually she eats it. This is a dangerous tactic Rose, because Lily is watching you like a hawk and will be in there before you know it and there will be NO MORE TREAT! I do wonder if her teeth are hurting her a bit. I've tried to open her mouth to see if she's lost one of her baby teeth, but can't get her to oblige, so I'll have to have a look when Charles gets back.
