Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

NEARLY DARK ALREADY

And it's not even 3.00 yet. Mind you, in fairness, it has hardly been light all day. It's one of those miserable wet, grey days when all you want to do is stay at home with a mug of hot chocolate!
Unfortunately, that is NOT what we have been doing. We had an early start and got into Newcastle for 9am, did what we needed to do and were out by 10!!! Then we had a quick(ish) trip to B and Q, followed by a rapid run around Tesco and were home by 11.30. We passed James on the way back; he'd been taking Kate to work in town. He rang while we were still making our way to Fram, to tell us that we are both 'rubbish'! Apparently, he had had a conversation with his Dad last night along the lines of, 'I'm going to town, you're going to town, let's meet up IN TOWN.' Only no one thought to tell ME and I didn't have my phone on and Charles managed to miss all James's calls somehow. James, I promise you, that if I had known about the plan I would have made sure we met up with you. Please don't think I'M rubbish - that's just your dad!!!
Anyway, despite being rubbish, I've managed to get quite a lot done today. The kitchen smells lovely just now, with a chicken stock simmering away and a white chocolate and raspberry torte in the oven.
The puppies have had a good day so far, even though they haven't been able to get outside much. Following Lily's unsettled behaviour yesterday evening, she slept right through the night (as did Rose) and they woke up in a lovely mood, so whatever was bothering her has been forgotten for now.
