LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

POTENTIAL BURGLARS BEWARE!

Was it an intruder?
Or just a cat?
SOMETHING woke the puppies at 2am!
For the first time since they came home, we were woken up during the night. This had nothing to do with the absence of their crate, however, as it was clear that something had disturbed them and they were both barking ferociously at some unseen enemy.
Although we could have done without the disturbance, it was good to know that, should we ever have burglars - THEY'RE NOT GOING TO GET A FOOT INSIDE THE DOOR THANKS TO OUR VIGILANT PUPS!!
We both went rushing through to see what the fuss was about, popped the pups out for a wee and then settled them back to sleep. All in all an interruption to our slumbers of about 15 minutes. Not too bad really.
The only problem for me was that, having been startled into wakefulness, I couldn't get back to sleep for ages, so ended up reading for about an hour.
At one time (ie when I was a working person) this would have bothered me, as a good night's sleep was precious, but now it doesn't have the same hold over me at all. So what if I don't get the full eight hours, I can always have forty winks during the day if I want to!
