LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

A WHOLE MORNING HAS PASSED...

... without me writing on the blog!
To be honest, I was all set to start writing at about 8 o'clock, but Rose had a bit of a poop disaster and I ended up doing some fairly major cleaning up. She will have a bath later!!
Actually the pups haven't had a bath for ages. The last time was when we decided to put them both in the big bath and ended up with something resembling a water fight, with two puppies scrabbling around and sliding up and down the length of the tub!
We have hopefully learned from this and will be more prepared come bathtime this evening. Firstly we will bath ONE PUPPY AT A TIME and secondly to avoid skidding around I have bought a pretty horrid, but very functional, non-slip bath/shower mat.
As James is coming round after work, I hope we might be able to persuade him to help out with this highly enjoyable (!) activity. So, Jim, if you're reading this - don't come round wearing anything decent tonight!
I got all excited when the post came today as there was a package from the spex people - but my hopes were raised falsely because they turned out to be for Charles and not for me.
We've had another busy morning. We popped into Morpeth to get the things I forgot yesterday. While in M and S I spotted a very nice little jacket on the sale rail that was just my size, so I decided to go and get the bits of food shopping first then I would go and get the jacket on my way out. BUT no sooner had I paid for my groceries and had a long chat with the cashier whose children I used to teach at Swarland, than the place was suddenly overrun with security staff and police and everyone was told to leave the store immediately! I've no idea what was going on, but I certainly wasn't going to be able to get my jacket! The thing is, there was only ONE and it was a really nice tweed, fitted style with a detachable fur collar, only £22 AND SOMEONE ELSE WILL HAVE BOUGHT IT BEFORE I GO BACK TOMORROW!! So, if you're in Morpeth Marks and Spencer's today - please keep your hands of that jacket on the sale rail!!!
The puppies have had a good sleep and are just going through the rather noisy process of waking up - lots of moans and groans and stretches, and then another few minutes kip. This will go on for a while until they realise that they need togo out for a wee and there is no putting it off any longer!!!
