Just quarter of an hour to go!
James has come home - and woken the puppies up! I think they thought they were dreaming when he appeared, they're not used to seeing him at this time of night.
The pups seem to be making a bit of a protest tonight. Usually, when I tell them it's bedtime they trot happily into the elephant crate and settle down, but last night when they were rudely awoken by party revellers outside they weren't able to settle for ages and certainly didn't want to go back to sleep in the crate, so they slept in their little baskets and were actually fine for the rest of the night. But I fully expected them to return to their usual behaviour tonight, so was surprised to find that they chose NOT to sleep in the crate again.
At the moment they are trying out different sleeping places. Is it going to be the basket, or a mat or the blanket? Lily wants to snuggle up with Rose, but Rose wants to be left alone! However, I'm sure it won't be long before they give in to tiredness and settle back down again.
Talking about giving in to tiredness - I think I'll be heading to bed shortly - it's going to be a busy day tomorrow!

Happy Christmas Lilly and Rose. I hope you each get a nice big juicy bone for your lunch today and lots of nice toys from Santa (That's if you were good enough to go to sleep last night!). Please will you ask your dad why he has not prepared a Christmas Special video yet.....may be he doesn't want to over shadow the Queen at 3pm, so he is waiting for that to be broadcast before he releases yours???? We all ventured out in the snow last night to a local pub for some ale and grub which was very Jolly. Today we will be preparing the turkey this morning and then opening presents this afternoon......at least, that is the plan...but I suspect some little children may nlot be able to wait that long.....(me...;-)
