LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

BET YOU'RE WONDERING WHERE I AM!

Yes, well, I didn't intend to ice the cake today, BUT...
... I'd marzipanned it yesterday (Mum - if you're reading this, I KNOW you used to let it dry out for days before you iced it, but that's when people used that really yellow marzipan that seeped into the icing. I use white marzipan and it doesn't seep!) - and I'd started making holly and ivy leaves and fir cones, so I just thought I'd make a start and then, of course, I got a bit carried away and managed to finish it. This year we've got gold icing with lustre swirls painted on top and clusters of different sized leaves and cones trailing around it! Not the usual Christmas colours either, but it's good to be different!
The pups have been little cherubs while all this activity has been going on in the kitchen. They kept coming in to check on progress and needed a it of a cuddle when the Kenwood Bad Boy ramped himself up to mix the raspberry cupcakes, but apart from that they've amused themselves quite happily. Rose has lost another tooth this morning and is still dragging Sean the Sheep around with her wherever she goes!
Just going to check the cupcakes. They should be ready about now...
