Hmmmm! The church bells are ringing tonight - or more accurately the church BELL is clanging tonight - and the puppies are not at all happy. Mind you, I'm guessing that most of the population of our village aren't happy either - it's not a pleasant sound. If I lived at the other end of the village, nearer the church, I would positively dread Sunday mornings. And I have to say - if anyone is thinking of getting married in our little village church - DON'T PAY EXTRA FOR THE BELL, IT'S HONESTLY NOT WORTH IT! JUST GET ONE OF YOUR MATES TO BANG A SPOON AGAINST A SAUCEPAN AND YOU'LL GET THE SAME EFFECT FOR FREE!
I suppose if you've only got one bell, it cuts down on the need for bell ringers. Or, just a thought - maybe there are really LOTS of bells but we only have ONE bell ringer, so the other bells remain redundant. Who knows? (Well presumably the vicar does.)
LILY & ROSE
Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
