Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

JUST SITTING DOWN FOR A MINUTE!

First chance for me this morning! (Charles can't, however, say the same, having sat and watched The Restaurant and Waterloo Road while I'm jumping up and down 'cos I need him to go to Morpeth and get back again quickly so I can get on with more stuff!)
Do all men have this uncanny knack of being able to remain totally oblivious to everything that's going on around them and yet give their total attention to the thing THEY want to do? Or is it a particular skill that Charles has?
Anyway - he's finally gone, but worryingly he rang to check that he'd got everything and omitted to mention the car shampoo that was top of the list. I've tried ringing back, but he's not answering his phone, probably because he thinks I'll be asking him to spend more money! Well, at least I've tried and if he's forgotten it he'll just have to go back again. (Mrs Popular will not be my name!)
We did take the girls for a long walk this morning (probably the reason for Charles's extended TV slump) It was lovely walking along the lane and seeing the mist over the fields and dawn breaking - yes it was that early! They had their harnesses on again and certainly walk better than with their usual collars. Since we got back they have been dozing companionably, not even bothering too much when I put the hoover (Dyson) round.
Rose hasn't been scratching at her ear so much today, I'm pleased to report. I did forget to mention that although there's apparently nothing wrong with her, she has been given some anti-inflammatory drops which we use twice a day, so maybe they're beginning to calm whatever it is (or isn't) down a bit. We're going to give them a bath later (not getting water near Rose's ears) and then use the flea/nit/bug stuff that they have every month. (Obviously they've got to look and smell their best when their Grandma comes tomorrow!!)
I'm looking at them now - fast asleep on the leather bucket chair. They're lying with their hind legs curled round each other and look for all the world like one puppy with two heads (Siamese puppies!)
(NB: Found more little teeth today)
