MARABINI'S V GIANNI'S

(Don't know if that's how you spell Marabini's!)
As long as we've lived in Northumberland we have always thought that Gianni's is brilliant. Good food and faultless for atmosphere and service - and very good value too, especially during Happy Hour. When the children were little we often used to take them on a Friday evening, so in a way they've grown up with Gianni's and Antonio.
But recently James has been going to Marabini's in preference, and this evening Charles and his staff went there too. Charles's verdict - 'Marabini's makes Gianni's look like some back street place!' Apparently the food is fantastic, the decor, service and atmosphere are brilliant AND it's even better value than Gianni's.
I feel quite sad in a way. I always thought we'd stay loyal to Antonio - but it looks as though we may be about to change our allegiance! (I bet they don't do the silly thing with the hats when it's your birthday though!)
