THE TESCO DELIVERY...

... was on time and everything present and correct...
...the only mistake was MINE! This year's equivalent of the solitary sprout that was delivered last year, was THE SINGLE BANANA! Guess who'd not noticed that they were LOOSE bananas and not a pack! Oh well, we didn't want bannoffi pie anyway.
However, the other mistake that I made this year was NOT TO ORDER ANY SPROUTS AT ALL! How did I forget them after the sprout debacle last year?
Anyway, all is not lost, as Charles is, as we speak, in Newcastle buying sprouts and other things like, hopefully, shoes for ME in the Kurt Geiger sale. James rang earlier to give us a heads up on this: his girlfriend, the lovely Kate, does some part time work at KG and had returned home yesterday with a couple of pairs of very much reduced shoes, so knowing that Charles was going into town anyway, James suggested that it would be a nice idea if he went and bought a pair (or two) for me. Once Charles knew how greatly reduced they were he was out of the door in a flash!!!! (Actually, he did have a sneaky peek at their website before he went and was dismayed to discover that the gorgeous shoe boots that I had for my retirement party had been reduced to about a fifth of their original price!!)
By the way, Charles hasn't JUST gone for sprouts and shoes, there are a number of other items on his list, but I can't mention these just yet!
