QUIET AT SIX AM!!!
Especially when it's just me and the puppies who are up!!
Charles is still slumbering blissfully - grrrrrrrr!!!
I, on the other hand, have greeted the pups and cleaned up after their morning ablutions, swept the puppy playground, cleaned the house after managing to drop my coffee mug (full) on the kitchen floor - big mess! Not that I'm expecting a medal or anything - just letting you know that I'M not tardy in a morning!
The puppies are having their breakfast now - chicken and rice - this will disappear in approximately 30 seconds! There will follow a fruitless search UNDER the bowl for more! You'd think they'd have learned by now, but it appears they live in hope that somehow, there will be a little more hidden away. After that they come through to their room and spend a few minutes rolling on their mat, using their paws to scoop any left over gravy into their mouths - and then they double check each other to make sure no morsel has been missed! It happens after every meal!
It actually seems a bit milder this morning and I've ben able to spend time outside with the pups without shivering. I need to add at this point that the one thing I haven't managed to do yet is to get dressed! I am currently wearing my red jimjams, a pair of brown chunky boots and a big black and white cardigan/coat thing - it's not a good look!

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Sue, You get my 'Gold Star' for the day! (I have just prepared Sunday lunch too:-). There was an article in yesterday's travel section for NY that suggested that a winter break in NY was a good time to go. When are you thinking of going? Sarah and I have booked to take the MGTF over to Northern Spain again in June and we hope to sort out a booking for the silver wedding celebrations by around end of Jan when a restraunt we are targeting return from their winter break!(May be they've gone to NY?). I suspect it will be either 10th or 24th July (so that we can take advantage of Hutton's Summer Ball on 17th too - is that something that you and Charles would be interested in?) Rx
ReplyDeletePossibly - need to talk more - can't think of leaving Lily and Rose twice yet, it's bad enough to be doing it over Easter! We're just in the process of making the booking now, so will let you know more when we've confirmed everything!
