... pouring with rain...
... all in all the perfect day for having one's hair done!
There's no easy solution on a day like this, is there girls?
Do you take an umbrella and risk it blowing inside out leaving you exposed to the elements?
Or do you put on a cap, just wearing it until you've sprinted to the car, but risking the dreaded 'cap hair' when you've just paid a small fortune (or rather a LARGE fortune if you go to SAKs) to have your hair messed up just so?
For any male readers of the blog, you'll notice I said 'messed up' and you may find this a bit perplexing when I'm talking about having my hair done.
The thing is. if you don't have it messed up you come out looking like someone who should be wearing a twin set and pearls and who drinks tea out of a china cup. It is not a good look - unless you wear a twin set and pearls and drink your tea out of a china cup of course, and then you might actually like your 'do'.
No, these days you go to the hairdressers with the intention of coming out and looking as though you haven't passed a comb through your barnet for weeks. 'Funk it up' I say to Andrea when she brandishes the gunky stuff. 'A little or a lot?' she will ask. 'As much as you can!' I will reply. It's the same every time, so predictable that it's comforting!
