Really bitterly cold today. The sky looks black over towards the coast.
Charles is off to London until Friday, although with the snow that's forecast further south he may need to check his flight first.
The pups are outside at the moment, running around and keeping warm. They've greeted the two big dogs who pass our house every morning with loud and frantic barks and are now participating in the Winter Olympics, slaloming down the rather depleted snow slopes.
There's a digger just out of sight round the corner and it's driving them crazy. They hate being able to hear something without being able to see it. They're the same with ordinary household noises, they have to be able to SEE the hairdryer, food processor etc before they can relax and accept that the noise is non-threatening.
Charles has just been picked up by Paul (not literally because Paul would need to do some serious weight training first) and they are on their way to a conference and then on to their London jolly.
Right - I'm going to have a skinny latte as apparently all it is is an espresso topped up with skimmed milk, but I'm going to froth it so that it's really a skinny cappuccino. (Why do you not hear about 'skinny cappuccinos' in coffee shops then? Why is it only 'skinny lattes?) By the way, I know that 'latte' should have an accent over the e, but I don't know how to do it.)
