LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

FED UP THIS MORNING.

This is not an easy post to write.
I am feeling really down about the pups and am beginning to question where I am going wrong with them.
Yesterday was terrible and this morning, for the first time in weeks, I came through to find a pool of wee. Rose seems to be getting more and more neurotic and the two of them are beginning to have some really ferocious fights.
I have to confess that I did ask Charles how he would feel if we didn't have them any more, because, for a while this morning, I just couldn't see how things are going to get better.
Thinking about it logically though - we were warned when they were tiny that things would get much worse around the six month stage. Also, there ARE days when they are really lovely. They do learn quickly, but I can't seem to find a solution to Rose's incessant barking and this is beginning to impact on my stress levels.
Once I had voiced my frustration to Charles I felt both relieved and at the same time a total failure. I really have tried SO hard with them and have to confess that I now need help to move on from this bad phase. (I'm sure it IS just a phase and with proper guidance we should come through it, but I couldn't possibly imagine carrying on like this because they are beginning to have a very negative impact on our lives - and that is not easy to admit to.)
I hate writing this down, because it makes it more real somehow - but the purpose of the blog was always to keep a record of our time with the pups and I have to record the bad with the good.
