... I hadn't read that article. But my view is that there's always an exception, and hopefully Lily and Rose are it.
So, today was much better, UNTIL Charles got home! In fairness the pups didn't make any fuss when he came in and greeted him calmly so that was good. They did, however, lose the plot completely when we were getting them ready for their walk and we ended up having a manic few minutes trying to get collars, harnesses and leads on them. We did manage to get further than yesterday without any incident and since returning they have been absolutely fine. Rose keeps muttering and is obviously thinking about having a bit of a bark at some imaginary apparition in the dark, but with a gentle reminder she is stopping and settling very quickly.
I really do think that if we are going to walk them at the same time we can only do this properly if there are two of us. I'm sure that once they settle down it will be a different story, but certainly for now it makes things so much easier. And perhaps I will have to heed the advice in the article and take them out separately. I really can identify with that section where it addresses the over-reliance of the siblings on each other and we need to make a real effort to tackle this with!
Right, the pups seem to be settling, so I'm off to watch the rest of the Manchester derby!
