... everyone else had the same idea about using Tesco home delivery, there are no slots available until Monday now - almost as bad as Christmas!
Oh well, we're going to have to brave the roads ourselves tomorrow then. Thankfully, Charles has finally managed to clear the drive, so we should be able to get out. Once we get to the main road we will be fine, and I know it's no distance to drive, but the Rothbury Road is like an ice rink, so that will be the worst part.

I'm not sure what we're going to do this afternoon - probably not a lot, but I'm getting a bit sick of doing 'not a lot' now.
Hmmm - just watching the local news. There's an article about binmen and how well they are doing their jobs in the current conditions. Well, I have to say that WE haven't seen a binman this week at all and the information I got is that our bin won't be emptied until the next scheduled date - which, for our kitchen waste is in nearly a fortnight's time. That means that our bin won't have been emptied for a month. YUK.
