PEANUT BUTTER

You know the Kongs that the pups love so much?
Well they have a new filling now - peanut butter and chopped apple - they love it!
I was a bit cautious about the PB to be honest, cos I guess some dogs may have an allergy to nuts just like humans, but I tried giving them the tiniest bit the other day and there was no adverse reaction, so now they've got an alternative to the cream cheese and biscuits that they usually have.
I'm trying to think about how I would rate today as far as the pups are concerned. Certainly not a 9/10 like yesterday, probably 6 or maybe 7/10, because they HAVE been good but have needed to be reminded about it, if that makes sense.
(I've just called them in from outside where they were playing and really couldn't tell them apart as they were running in. Lily is so much fluffier than she used to be, although her coat will never feel as soft as Rose's.)
It was really funny to see James's reaction the other evening when we bathed them, because I had told him that when they are wet they look identical and he agreed that it was almost impossible to tell them apart when they look like drowned rats.
I feel quite tired now. This training stuff is pretty exhausting when you have to keep at it all the time. never mind, Charles will be back soon, so he can take over for a while!!!
