Even though I'm not working, I still enjoy Saturdays more than any other day of the week. Probably due to years of looking forward to the weekend because, by rights, it shouldn't matter to me any more, but there you go. It does!
We've got the footie to look forward to this afternoon, although the news coming out of Timesonline isn't good about Steven Taylor - looks like we may have lost him to knee ligament damage for the rest of the season. We really did NOT need this.
Anyway, you probably don't want to know that and just need to know how the pups are this morning. Well, they're fine - they DID disturb in the night thanks to the thoughtless idiots who parked their car at the end of our drive around midnight with the radio on at sixty million decibels. I had just nodded off and was rudely awoken by the racket, thinking at first that I'd somehow landed in a club (disco for those of my generation!!) Obviously the pups were disturbed and ended up sleeping curled up together in one of the little beds OUTSIDE of the big crate! However, this was the only disturbance and they slept through until about 7.30, so that was something of a Saturday morning lie in for us!!
They're asleep (again) at the moment and we're just waiting for them to wake and then we'll take them for a walk down Villa Lane, before I head off to Morpeth for shopping and a quick wash and blowdry at SAKs.
James is coming round later on and tomorrow he and Charles are off to see the much acclaimed Avatar, having failed to get tickets for last weekend, so they'll be happy!
