Not to be defeated by the weather, Charles and Paul have changed their travel plans and are now taking the train to the capital! They were absolutely NOT going to miss out on their trip, were they!
As for the pups, they are having a much better day so far. They have slept a lot and, during their waking time, I am making sure I talk quietly and use a nice happy voice when I give commands. It appears to be having an impact - I think I had just got so wound up yesterday that I was probably the one who was doing the barking!
I've just made a huge pot of chicken and vegetable soup this morning - some to use now and the rest to freeze. It smells really good and we could have had it for our evening meal tonight (James is coming for tea) except that he has asked for something called 'spag bolorrow'! You may well wonder what exactly this dish is, as did I when he was chatting to me on facebook yesterday - but it appears he was typing in a hurry and he was really asking if we could have spag bol tomorrow!!
So there you go, spag bolorrow it is!

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!
