... is available on t'internet - about ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING really.
I am, of course, referring to canine spaying, which I foolishly decided to research last night.
Why did I do this? Before the internet came along we would have been happy to accept the word of the professionals - so why do we now need to read every flaming article and opinion about everything. It just results in even more confusion, resulting in further indecision.
I had a chat with Charles last night about the subject and he suggested that, if indeed we are going to do this, we should book the pups in for surgery on the day he breaks up for half term which is about three weeks away. This will give us ten days when he is around to help and should see us over the worst of the recuperation period. Of course, there is a chance that the pups may come into season before then, but that is a risk we'll have to take. Again, there are conflicting opinions about whether to spay before or after the first season, and the vet herself didn't advise one way or the other.
Anyway, the pups are blissfully unaware of all these deliberations and have put themselves into the big crate for their morning sleep. They've both woken up in lovely moods today, so fingers crossed, that'll last for a while.
