Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

Cakes a go go!

WHAT'S THAT SONG?

You know, the one about 'lazy like a Sunday morning'?
Never really understood that!
I can vaguely imagine how nice it would be to sit around drinking cappuccinos and munching on apricot Danish and reading the papers - but sadly that's ALL I can do - just imagine it!
I won't go into all the sordid details because there may be some of you who ARE fortunate enough to be eating your apricot Dsnish whilst reading this, but we had an unfortunate poopy bottom experience with Rose this morning - and as a result had a major clean up (of her AND everything her bottom came into contact with before we were able to rugby tackle her into submission and get her sorted out). I must stress that this was NOT an accident, nor the result of an unsettled stomach but had a lot to do with the fact that Rose has so much fluffy coat around her nether regions...
... I'll leave you to get the picture!!
Anyway, she is reasonably clean now and both pups are having forty winks while we keep an eye on the weather (it's sleeting) before taking them out for another marathon walk. As reported yesterday, they were both absolutely shattered after having TWO long walks and they slept through without a peep from about 8pm until 7.30 this morning.
Charles and James are off to the cinema later and I've got beef in red wine simmering gently in the oven so that it's lovely and tender for later this afternoon. Don't worry - all food preparation areas and my hands have been well scrubbed and anti-bac'd following earlier poop incident, which didn't actually come into contact with said areas, but you can't be too careful can you?

  5. What a list! Well done Dannymatt! I knew you'd be able to drum up the 'weekly list' quickly!

By the way if you haven't been to see AVATAR yet on IMAX 3D - then Charles says you should!

  6. Spoiler alert.
Yes I intend to see the film as soon as funds become available. However I'm a little sceptical of films with very little plot and desirable minerals called "unobtainium" even though this is valid scientific terminology. (After all we have TWAIN, Big Bang Theory, and Debugging I suppose....but still, its a little unimaginitive) Actually I really liked Cameron as a film director..... until Titanic stretched my patience a little too far, that is. I forgive him everything however for Aliens and Terminator 2 in particular. Anyone who does not shed a tear as the Governor of California self terminates, has no heart. If Avatar comes anywhere near the emotional charge of that experience then it will be money well spent. For the moment though, that particular commodity is....er...unobtanium.
