Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

YOU'LL BE PLEASED TO KNOW...

... that the drips that plagued us yesterday have now stopped and the bathroom is no longer a torture chamber!
Yesterday I admit I DID have visions of our very heavy tiles coming away from the wall if the leak had continued to be a problem - but at the moment anyway, all seems well.
As mentioned in my earlier post, the thaw appears to be well underway. The trees and shrubs in the garden are emerging for the first time in a week. The bamboo looks extremely sad and bent over, but will no doubt soon perk up again. The fronds on the tree fern, the base of which is well wrapped for the winter, are now ragged and ready for cutting off. It's always a joy to me when we uncover the fern in the spring and find the tiny new fronds all curled up and ready to emerge. I just hope it survives this really extreme weather - it's certainly the worst it will have experienced.
For the first time in a week, James is coming for lunch and is bringing his mate, Tom, with him. No doubt the laundry bag will be enormous and will probably walk into the house under it's own steam!!!
