LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

GOOD NEWS

It's Friday afternoon and we've just got back home - not that we've ONLY been to the vet's you understand!
We took the pups for their first check up at 9am and they were both given full marks for their recovery so far. Their incisions are clean and dry and there is no swelling or puffiness - so that's great news. We were given a pretty strict warning about keeping them subdued for the next ten days though. Easier said than done I think.
However, we have found a solution of sorts. We had loads of little errands to do today around Morpeth and Gosforth (Getting Jim's registration number changed at the DVLA. We gave him the number plate for Christmas/Birthday and have only just got round to officially changing it! As it happens we got there only to find that we hadn't got all the paperwork so had to go to Jim's work and back home to Longfram to track it all down!)
Anyway, it was all this running around in the car that provided the solution to keeping the pups quiet and calm. They LOVE being in the car and either sleep or just lie around all the time we are out. So the fact that we have been driving around since 9am has meant that they have had a quiet and restful day. So there you go - all we need to do for the next ten days is put them in the car and go for a long drive!
