They were having coffee in Morpeth - sitting outside with their two Westies. We got talking to them and discovered that one of the Westies had only been with them for eight weeks and was a rescue dog. The poor little thing had been mistreated for years and had had such a bad ear infection that she had had to have her right ear amputated. She looked such a pitiful sight as her head had been shaved for the surgery and she was clearly very nervous around people - understandably after what she's had to endure.
The owners were really chatty and told us all about their dogs, PLUS recommended a place in Shilbottle where we can have our two groomed and clipped.
On the way home we called into Christina's new house in Longhorsley, taking a few essential supplies with us. Her house is really nice and she's pretty well sorted already, despite only moving in yesterday.
Just finished watching the Cup Final. We WERE shouting for Villa, despite what they did to us on the last day of the season, but it was not to be. Interesting to see the very fragile Mr Owen limping off yet again though! Fabio would NOT be impressed by that!

Well, wherever you end up getting the ladies clipped it needs to be sooner rather than later for the purposes of socialisation. Bit by bit, little by little...
