This is a warning for anyone considering renting a property through REEDS-RAINS.
AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE, OR LIVE TO REGRET IT.
Four weeks ago Christina applied to take up residence in one of the properties on their books.
Since then she has had one bit of bad news and one delay after another.
To cut a long story short, CHARLES has ended up contacting people to do the required check on the LPG cooker as Reeds-Rains weren't able to find anyone to do it! It failed!
She finally agreed to move in tomorrow knowing that the cooker is broken and won't be repaired for another fortnight.
However, today she is informed that the central heating boiler is also broken and there's no oil in the tank anyway, despite being informed it would come with a full tank.
I honestly cannot believe the ineptitude of this company.
If you've got a property to let - WHY DON'T YOU GET IT UP TO STANDARD BEFORE PUTTING IT ON THE MARKET?
Apparently Charles has spoken to the manager this morning and given him/her a piece of his mind. I wish he'd let ME do it - I would have LOVED to tell them exactly what I think of their customer service.
