Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

WHAT A...

... miserable old day.
The pups are a bit frustrated because they can't really play out in the rain. And I'M a it frustrated because...
... the pups can't really play out in the rain!
Having said that, they seem to be resigned to it and are having a fairly dozy day, so they're making it pretty easy really.
Charles reckons he'll be home early today, so we MIGHT manage to gat them out if it fairs up a bit. Then of course, he's off to pick up James to go through to the Toon.
Tomorrow we thought we'd go to the coast with the pups, give them a good run along the beach and end up at Amble for fish and chips IF the weather improves. You could always come along with Isla and Maggie May Dannymatt!

  1. The invite is appreciated but as ever I am nanny in between taxi driver to football training, match and ballet on sat and sun. The kids say they want to see the pups but they each think it should be a time when the other has commitments and don't see why they should miss theirs (kids logic)...some day soon perhaps...could be short notice too. Tonight's shenanigans are a perfect illustration of the difficulties I thought I'd left behind. ie I'm the only one going to St James.....and we have 5 (count 'em) tickets!!

  2. Well, we'll be thinking about you when we're munching our cod and chips!
Shame about all those spare tickets tonight - I would have taken one, but am too soft to leave my girls!!!

  3. I told Charles about the ticket first, then I asked John S but he turned it down so Charles suggested Dan who snapped it up (Its a great seat in the 1892 club where you can not only smell the linament but see the patterns of play and hear the likes of Warnock winding up that sap Nolan, shout at Phil Brown to keep off the grass or words to that effect.) And if its too cold one can sit inside and watch it on one of several TV screens. Is it worth over "a bag of sand" a "grubby hand" a season? I hear you type. Is it b

  5. I bet you were to hot from jumping around and shouting your heads off last night. Dan must have really loved it! I think the most memorable game at NUFC for me was when we were playing Ferencvaros. I watched that game from the touchline next to their bench.

A friend of mine worked for the BBC Match of the Day programme as a production assistant and he got me a BBC pass. I stood next to the touchline cameraman all game!

I also watched a couple of games from the old TV gantry that you got to via a little narrow metal walkway that you had to crouch over to get along! Standing just behind Barry Davies and 'Motty' are experiences I'll never forget.

Barry D was much more fun than Motty after matches though when the front of house production team 'unwound' over a bite to eat and a few beers!

Sadly those days seem a distant memory now.

Another thing I remember at the Farencvaros game was the dad of one of the girls at school seeing me! He was working as a First Aider that night. It was shortly after I came to work in Blyth and I'm sure it helped me gain some 'street cred' amongst the parents quickly!
