Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

JUST BACK...

... from a very muddy walk down the lane.
The girls were really good ON the walk, BUT when we got back had another of their spats, initiated by Lily again.
I honestly don't know what triggers these incidents. For a time they seemed to be diminishing, but during the last few days have increased again. They're over and done with in seconds BUT I really don't want them to escalate any further.
I can't think what I'm doing wrong. The pups have plenty of exercise, lots of toys to keep them from getting bored. They obey most commands and we challenge inappropriate behaviour instantly. They are sleeping and eating well and are affectionate with us and with each other most of the time. We make sure they are both treated the same and are given affection equally. So I'm at a loss to know the cause behind the fighting.
Maybe I will need advice from an expert. Come on Dannymatt - I need your input here.

  1. ...it's a girl thing. Just roll with it.

I've got Python's semaphore signal version of Wuthering Heights playing in my mind at the moment

  2. Again - you could well be right. I have read that this is a problem particularly associated with girls. I'm trying harder than ever to get them worn out, in fact I think we've spent more time out walking than actually in the house today. The only problem with that is that I am knackered!
