Young At Heart

LILY & ROSE

Here are some photos of Lily & Rose. There are a few from the first time we saw them when they were just 4 weeks old. They would fit on your hand at this age and didn't look much like westies!

BUT THEN...

... we decided NOT to go to Morpeth as it was actually later than we thought it was, so we just took the pups out around the village. Very pleasant it was too, as the rain has stopped and it's a pleasant, sunny evening.
I can hear a really strange sort of grating noise and for a while wasn't sure what it was and then I realised that it's the pups pushing their stainless steel water bowl around outside. They've obviously got fed up with their usual toys and are starting to improvise!
Actually I'm at a loss to understand why neither of them can be bothered to play with a ball, but will happily push the water bowl around for ages! Strange little things they are!
At the moment Charles is manfully eating up leftovers (I'm avoiding them) and then we'll be bringing the pups through to the living room for telly time. It's Top Gear and they quite like that because there aren't many dogs in it, so they don't have to growl at the screen and can be quite relaxed about their viewing!

  1. As young ladies in the making they should be growling with indignation at those damned petrol head presenters, the sychophantic audience and the travesty that show has become...

  2. I totally agree with your sentiment there dannymatt, and we are clearly attempting to provide a broad and balanced range of viewing for them in the hope that they will indeed become more discerning with regard to a wide raft of issues and principles as they mature!

  4. There was a great quote from the equally great Chris ("I can speak proper now....listen pelanty!!") Waddle who was once asked the same question. He replied "I've never predicted anything in my life..... and I never will!" :o) So my prediction is that it will be a tough game because Sheffield Utd is a tough team to beat and they will make it tough for us. But on the back of our recent results we will make it difficult for them because St James' Park is a difficult place to come to on the back of some poor results...and its er... tough on the back of a donkey too...its been a trial, and I've washed my hands of Ashley but ultimately we've nailed it, so I think we'll crucify them and ascend to footy heaven...is my seasonal prediction. They don't write 'em like that anymore...thank the Lord!!

Next post.... words and phrases that should be banned from the football pundit's vocabulary
